Tuboplasty for Sterility

Abstract
Tubal occulusion is probably the most frequent cause of infertility through the world. Many papers on tuboplasty have been written. However, it is very difficult not only to compare results but to evaluate specific factors or procedures influencing results.
The purpose of this paper is to present current practices with regard to surgery for tubolplasty at Busan National University Hospital.
The results thus obtained were as follows:
1. The overall pregnancy rate was 52 of 98(53. 0%).
2. The pregnancy rate for salpingolysis was 15 of 25(60. 0).
3. The pregnancy rate for salpingostomy was 30 of 55(54.5%).
4. The pregnancy rate for anastomosis was 4 of 7(57. 1 %).
5. The pregnancy rate for cornual implantation was 3 of 8(37. 1%).
The probability of success of a surgical procedure for the correction of infertility or enhancement of fertility depends to a great extent on case in selection of the patient and the experience and skill of the surgeon.
